Woolwich at Royal Arsenal has received the first wave of competed homes to be constructed. First Crossrail homes completed have been built above a new Crossrail station in preparation for the new transport system to commence by 2018. New Home Building is up by 15 per cent

To build or not to build is not exactly a choice for the British population. Many areas of the UK have been promised new housing developments to accommodate a growing population. The latest statistics from ONS has reported that new home building is up by 15 per cent year on year. There were 131,000 new homes completed in the UK in the last 12 months and the highest annual total since June 2009. Crossrail Causes Surge in House Prices

Europe’s largest infrastructure project is currently underway, since being given the green light to begin tunnelling in 2008. The Crossrail project, despite not even being completed yet, has caused a surge in house prices by almost 82%. The Crossrail is a 73 mile railway line that is expected to open in late 2018, and will provide faster routes into London without making any changes to the underground.
